A 2nd year project at the University of Leeds called “The Daring Dash”. Students in teams had to design an autonomous vehicle with independent suspension on each wheel, capable of driving in a straight distance over obstacles maintaining constant contact between the wheels and the surface. We had to adapt theory of vibration and control studied in the lectures, come up with a detailed 3D CAD design, manufacture the parts and assemble the buggy. Moreover, we used LabVIEW programming environment to develop a control algorithm for the vehicle.
